A lawyer by profession, Martin Mainardi began taking underwater photographs in 1985, shortly after completing his first diving course-probably influenced by his father Carlos Mainardi, one of the most recognized advertising photographers in Argentina. The images and stories collected after their first trips to Southern Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil and Mexico were the beginning of what later became his main activity in the field of underwater photography: underwater photo-journalism. Today he is the biggest in Argentina who has published articles related to diving.
