These are not pleasant images they are uncomfortable and cause for concern and call for a reflection. Despite that it surrounds us daily they are not seen frequently in magazines or the mass media. Few dare to portray this "dark side" of our relationship with the planet. It is said that the principle of solving a problem is to know and assume it and then generate the necessary changes. We have a great responsibility in our hands; decide which future we want for ourselves and our children. It's time to open our eyes and start watching.

Born and raised in Patagonia, Argentina, Daniel Aldo Gomez has a Degree in Biology specializing in Ecology at the University of Buenos Aires and Nature Documentary Photographer with a Master of the Newport College of Art in the UK. With his background in promoting environmental conservation through photography, he was awarded the 'Silver Pyramid' Best Wildlife Photographer of Argentina.
